Overall, though not the best series I've read, this is a great entry point into Progressional Fantasy and LitRPG. Unlike other series, Rise To Omniscience doesn't make assumptions about your knowledge of LitRPG, and this makes for an amazing first read. This a great entry series into PF, as it also isn't overly graphic - at least in the beginning - and does an amazing job of not taking things you know for granted. The author, Aaron Oster, also has a few other series that are also great to check out, and always releases books extremely quickly. Though the first book is a bit short, the later ones get far longer and the series gets progressively better, something seen in many PF series. You get a vibe of OP MC a bit from it, though at the same time nothing feels too easy, as Morgan is always up against strong opponents, and sometimes doesn't win, which is refreshing. It never feels too slow, and the abilities of characters, backstories, and fights are always super entertaining. It's a LitRPG that was actually one of the first LitRPGs that I read, and set the stage quite well for others to come. To further add to this facet of a community, he has also started a Kickstarter campaign, where "backers" pledge their money for rewards and/or to support the creator.
